Feel free to drop me a line - an email if you will via this form. Let me know what is on your mind! How can I help you?
Drawing came easy to me as a kid and I always loved trying to figure out the concept behind logos be it from a restaurant or a rock band. I always found myself drawing whether on my desk in first grade or the backs of tests in high school. I drew from life and from memory. It only made sense to go into graphic design when I left home for college.
I studied visual communications at Herron School of Art (at the old campus at 16th and Pensilvania) which consisted of a foundation year of classic art education; art history, color theory, drawing, painting & 3-D design in the first year. After completing the foundation year students could declare their major. Visual communications courses included typography, visual communications, computers in graphic design and several studio electives supporting the degree.
My study came in a time where computers and visual communication became far reaching from print design and brand development. Storytelling through video and web interactivity blew my mind! Don’t get me wrong, I love brand development but I really love web and video.
Fast forward through my formative years of my career where I have worked on many large and small projects as part of a team and alone. I have found that project management is very appealing. I love to see a plan come together! With that in mind I have been working toward PMP certification (long term goal).
I would like to see my next position being part of a web development team or in project management. Then again video is a strong suit of mine and something I could see me doing quite a bit.
I’m a pretty flexible person with my skill set as I’ve worn a lot of different hats over the years. I fill a lot of needs in a lot of different spaces. If you think I may fit your organization please reach out to me at i-am@lorenhunt.com.
